Back from camp!

Ahhhh back from camp...  Interesting new experiences are awesome! Including:

Zealandia:
Even though I normally enjoy walking but I realized I was actually having such a good experience. We saw Tuataras, weta, gecko, bell bird and tuna. We got a sheet to fill in of what we saw. I never knew there are so many endangered species out there. Humans killing all those innocent animals.

Te Papa:
I've been to Te Papa before with my family so I've seen most things at the museum. One of the memories that I've always remembered about the museum was the enormous Colossal Squid. Imagining the size of the squid made me wonder are there are bigger animals out in the wild? Even though I know there are but I can then imagine the size of bigger animals...

Carter Observatory:
Carter Observatory, one of my favorite place I've been to at camp.We learnt about "Is there a planet other than earth we can live on?" It made me wonder. If there is a planet we can live on, but how will we get there? I held onto that thought throughout camp. Later on we went to the carter observatory exhibition. Lot's of games, science, gravity things were part of the exhibition. At last we watched a movie clip in a dome room with projectors everywhere. We sat on the chairs and looked up. Slowly the movie started. Big words displayed on the screen. "Back to the moon for good." It talked about making rovers that will be sent to the moon. The competition was called Google Lunar X prize. That clicked my mind on constructing a rover.

OnTV and Media:
OnTV was a legit experience. They had all of the right equipment for us. Such as green backgrounds, communication head sets and other proper equipment. I was the camera man. It was an awesome role since everything people see is all by me. I felt proud of myself. What we were recording is a story about "Once upon a crime". To be honest, everyone was important. Without them this could not all happen. The next day we had Media. We learnt about android apps. I normally like doing these kind of stuff but I was a bit sad when I realized this wasn't really coding. It was awesome though. We used a online tool called "MIT App Inventor." When it comes to engineering or science I would always do my best and do it as fast as I can to finish it.

Parliament:
When we got there, the security was so strict. No metal, no sunglasses. The metal detector was like the ones at the airport. We were at a program called question time. We sat quietly as we looked if John Key was at his seat. But no, nothing in his seat. The people started questioning the Prime Minister. When he started answering, people from other parties started to disagree and stuff. I'm pretty sure they did it on purpose. It was quite amusing to watch.

Wellington Zoo:
At Wellington zoo, we saw lots of cute animals including monkeys, lions, red pandas and giraffes. I especially like the monkeys, they were so amusing. One of them found a worm, used two of its hands and rubbed it together and ate it. After browsing through all the animals, we went to the gift shop. Cute things everywhere. But one thing that I didn't enjoy was the price. Too much. Still, I brought a little penguin, a bracelet, glow in the dark spider and a coffee cup for my mum. It was a awesome trip to the zoo.

H20 Extreme:
One of my favorite places we went at camp. H20 Extreme was a swimming pool place. There were three hydro slides and lots of pools. I especially love the darkness fall hydro slide. Darkness falls is a hydro slide that is completely dark. You cannot see anything. Firstly I thought it was scary, but then I realized it was fun!
I hope I get to go there again!

Overall, Wellington was a overwhelming experience. I enjoyed everything we did at camp. I look forward to go there again.
