Term 1 Week 7

This week I finally got to use the 3D printer we have in our school! I had a pretty good experience with it and it was definitely great knowing it still works. Hopefully with this machine I could print some stuff for the school. At first I am thinking of a windmill. It is the easiest of them all and it can charge power banks. Electric windmill generator is great for generating small and large amounts of electricity, but the point is that windmills are clean for the environment. A fair sized windmill could power up a small household! That will be a small project of mine. This week for maths we revised on integers. Mainly on adding and subtracting. Here is a small example: "-6+-3" For this examples we can use number lines like this:


-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1-0-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

The ones on the left, in yellow, are negative numbers and to the right are positive numbers. As you can see, we are -6 on the number line. The "+" from '-6+-3" tells us we are facing right and the -3 is telling us to go up. This will then equal -9. That is how you solve integers with a number line. For writing we have doing The Water Cycle explanation. We talk about the evaporation, condensation, precipitation and infiltration. Writing this explanation has lead me thinking about how amazing The Water Cycle truly is and that we should not waste water. This week has been fascinating and hopefully this will stay permanent!
