This week has started out very well, and I am very happy to be back at school after a happy long holiday though my brain wasn't really working well on the first day and I was very muddled. We showed everyone the brain inquiry that we worked on last term and discussed the ups and downs of the PowerPoint. Our one was especially white and plain, which kinda helps out with the text so that the user can easily read. We also had moving pictures to help out with understanding. We also started working on science fair which is hosted in week 11. We had to start off with getting a log book which will contain what we do everyday. For example: Monday 2nd: I went to google and searched up some science fair projects, the websites were: www.SCIENCEFAIR.com... Then we had to test if it was a question that fits into would .... effect ...? Or how does .... effect ...? After that we learnt about fair testing which means three fair tests of more.
This Tuesday we had Mike King at our school. He was really amusing to watch as he talks about his life story. The main part about his story was about how he over came depression and to live a happy life. He also said about there is a Devil and an Angel. The Devil will constantly tell you to do something that your not supposed to do, and the angel constantly tells you not to do what the Devil is trying to make you do. When you overcome the Devil, he will sit back and wait for another occasion to pop in, but when you push back the angel, she never goes away and still constantly tries to help you after everything you did to try to do to stop the angel. His life story had a really important moral and I think we should all learn from it.
Next up, on Friday we resumed our french class this week. Straight up when we went into the class, and Mrs Shaw wanted us to do a test that was on the whiteboard. Without any fuss we all went and had a go at the test. We all realized, "WOW!". That test was actually really hard. The first part is where you change English to French, and the second part is where you change French to English. I really struggled on the spelling as you can't really sound out the words in French. On Friday we also resumed our Te Reo class. We learnt about the Waikato River and how it brings everyone together. I also found it very funny when the teacher said that she really hates people saying WhyKato instead of Waikato. Overall, this week has been amusing and I can't wait for another week of learning.
